About the STEM Spotlight Awards

The STEM Spotlight Awards shine a light on creative thinkers and problem-solvers and recognize the positive strides in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) industries and skilled trades in B.C.

The STEM Spotlight Awards have evolved from a singular student-focused competition to a robust showcase of brilliant companies, leaders and future talent in the STEM industries in B.C. To combat the obvious challenges that the industries are currently experiencing, the STEM Spotlight Awards will provide an additional focus on Diversity & Inclusion as well as Women in STEM and aims to provide deserving recognition to companies leading the charge in each area. The Youth Program Awards will continue to highlight the bright future starts of the STEM industries.

Winners of the awards are selected by a respected panel of judges and will be announced live for the first time at the culminating Awards Gala in April 2019. As the STEM industries undergo rapid growth and continued evolution, it is important to stop and recognize the driving forces that are not only behind the success but are inspiring positive social consciousness.
